In der kurzen Zeit durchlaufen sie eine rasante Wachstumsphase, die oft mit gesundheitlichen Problemen einhergeht. Hello, I'm Christoph Maria Herbst.
You might know me as an
actor, but there's something
else in my life that's at
least as important to me as
acting:
animals. I'm sure you also think that animals should be treated with respect,
not just dogs and cats, which
are almost like family to us, but also cows, pigs,
and
chickens. Did you know that chickens
are the most eaten animals in the world?
Thanks to the undercover investigation by
Animal Equality,
what the meat industry would prefer to keep from us is now coming to light. What
you're about to see
is the sad reality in all
factory farms around the
world, including in Germany. Imagine
you were born as a chicken.
This would be the first day of your
life. You see the light of day
surrounded by countless other chicks. You
all peep and call for your mother,
but your calls go unanswered because
you will never know your mother.
You can barely take a
step because you were
bred to gain as much weight as possible in the shortest possible time
as a result of this
overbreeding and your own obesity. At
just six weeks old, you're
practically
immobile. Breathing is
difficult. You constantly have to inhale the acrid,
ammonia-laden air because
everything around you
is covered in excrement. Your body is covered in numerous
painful, untreated wounds.
Meat production
causes immense suffering on an
unimaginable scale.
Every one of these animals suffers from
day one to day four. [

you're pulled through a
water bath with an electric current
flowing through you. If this stunning fails, your
throat is cut while you're fully conscious,
and you bleed to death in agony. [

you can do something to end this suffering.
Simply remove meat from
your
diet. The animals will thank you.
