i started animal equality alongside jose
valle and javier moreno because we
wanted to help animals

like humans animals feel pain they feel
joy and they feel a desire to live and
that's why animal equality's mission is
to help to create a world in which they
are truly respected and protected

our beginnings at animal equality were
incredibly humble
we had no money so one of us would work
so the other two would have more time to
be able to dedicate to animals and we
would use cardboards we found in the
streets to create our banners but our
passion fueled a movement and activists
around spain and around the world joined
animal equality and that is how we
became a global organization one of
those
is
the biggest obstacle we have faced at
animal equality and the biggest obstacle
that i have faced personally is when the
industry tried to put an end to our work
myself and other colleagues were victims
of a case to stop undercover
investigations but rather than deterring
us from doing our work this gave us more
energy and years later we are still here
doing investigations and speaking for
animals brazil

the first farm that i ever went into was
actually an egg farm and what i was most
shocked by was the sheer scale of the
farm i stepped in there and there were
tens of thousands of hens entrapped in
cages many people are not aware that in
britain 40 of hens are trapped in cages
every single year our first campaign was
to ban bull performances and it turned
out to be our very first victory the
supreme court not only banned bull
performances but made five freedoms
mandatory and also recognized the
sentience of animals
i think it's also difficult to see that
the industry has a huge amount of money
and resources at their fingertips

can't wait to see what we can achieve in
